#Street Atlas USA
Bill just to respond as a consumer and a distributor of over 500 titles
that we sell to over 600 schools. DeLorme has an accuracy rating higher
than any of their "map" competitors. As far as there being mistakes in
Indianapolis, guess what? THere are mistakes in Chicago, Orlando and a few
other places however there overall accuracy is to be lauded. I disagree
wholeheartedly with your remark that someone can "expect" perfection" or
close to it because they spent $130. Evidently you are unaware of the cost
of the competitive products on the market and their cost. Even though we
did not sell the item to you, as a gesture of faith from a company that
distributes the Street Atlas product, we are willing to reimburse your
purchase oprice for return of teh item. We feel strongly enough about their
product to not want a disgruntled customer touting uneducated remarks that
disparage the product. For the record in the area of phone listings the
highest accuracy that could be attained was 80%. This was on a fifth
generation release. BTW I should also warn you to stay away from the
Software Toolworks Atlas products inasmuch as they have a few inaccuracies
as well. Frank Harris, Director of Operations Computron, Ltd.
