Martin, I'm no expert on CDROMs but from what I read in December issue of Personal Computer World the "CM 205 supports standard (High Sierra, ISO 9660) CD-ROM discs only, which means it will not handle Photo-CDs or multi-session discs." However the article says that there is an upgrade option with makes the drive CD-ROM XA compatible so that it will read PhotoCD discs. The article does have a table which lists the CM205 as single session compatible – I think you will need a driver to enable this and I see that Torsten Droste has replied that he is sending you info on this (isn't Compuserve wonderful ! ). I see a Philips advert in the November issue of Windows User for the Philips CDD 462. The advert says that this drive is one of the first multi-session CD-ROM drives for the PC. It costs 349 pounds. It's great to see all the interest in Photo CD. As you probably know Philips jointly specified the Photo CD format with Kodak. The best place for Photo CD questions is the Photo CD section in the Photography Forum, though the Kodak helpers will also spot questions here. If you are interested in CD-I, there is an MPC/CD-I/CDTV section in the Multimedia Forum where Drew Topel (71232,2143) from Philips Interactive Media America answers developers questions about CD-I. CD-I players can also play multisession PhotoCD discs on your TV as well as game & educational CD-I titles. Mark
