Why should WindowsNT be the defacto standard of the 90's? MS has already backed down off of full support for Windows and DOS applications (it will now support the 'most popular' Windows and DOS applications instead, would you like to bet your companies current software investment on that?), it will make OS/2's resource requirements look tame (12 to 16MB RAM minimum for reasonable performance, as opposed to 6 to 8). Also, what will WindowsNT offer that OS/2 doesn't (or won't have available by the time NT is released.) It might just come down to which company are you more comfortable doing business with, MS or IBM. A lot of journalist appear to love MS more than Big Blue, but businesses seem to be a bit more ambivalent with regard to them both. Ed
