>> I wonder if a filtering UPS would influence the problem? << You know that's a very good thought and the kind of thing that I'm looking for in the way of a solution. I do have some form of filtering on my UPS along with surge etc. so that does eliminate one potential problem. And it does seem to be the correct approach; try to eliminate the antennae. I've been trying to think of ways to stop the harmonics created from the occilation of the components, but it seems like an impossible task. I wonder when the FCC certifies a computer case how the manufacture designs it in order to eliminate RF. I've been buying standard tower cases and it occurs to me that this may be a part of the problem. I don't want to have to replace them, but I may have to. And of course there's no guarantee that this will have any effect if its the CPU's frequency or occilation that's causing the problem. It Choas theory in action, find the butterfly and stop the typhoon. A little like finding a needle in a haystack. Thanks for your thoughts, I think you're on the right track, just not sure where to go from here. John
