Jonathan, Both of those programs are excellent, I'm sure. I haven't tried Final Copy, but I hear great things about it here. I've used earlier versions of ProWrite, and it was great. As far as it went. But for those of us who do a great deal of writing, and who NEED footnotes, endnotes, indexing, and tables of contents, neither of them can handle the need. ProWrite has been around for years, and it has improved and grown – but these real needs have never been addressed. They continue to improve their graphics abilities, but not the basic fundamental needs of macros, foot/endnotes, and indexing/table of contents. Without those, you simply cannot do the more demanding types of word processing. And without those capabilities, we will not have an acceptable word processor for the user who needs those things. —Betty
