Why does SCSI support need to be on the motherboard of the 4000? Mark, I
can't believe that you could be so gullable to believe CBM's point of view
that it thought the user's really wouldn't miss SCSI support. Here is a
machine that is being advertised as the ultimate "Multimedia" computer,
with fantastic graphics, sound, etc and yet most of the tools that are
used with multimedia such as CD-Rom drives, scanners, removable and other
large hard drives, are all best supported with SCSI. Even IBM users are
beginning to recognize the fact that SCSI support is important and I would
say there is a large percentage of them out there with SCSI controllers.
Why should a buyer of such a high end Amiga have to worry about getting a
seperate controller and taking up one of his slots for something that
should have been supported in the first place. And do you think that
someone who is out to purchase a 4000 is going to worry about an extra
$100 so he can have SCSI on the motherboard? I doubt it.
