Tim, fortunately for you it is the fall/winter season. I would recommend that you take the "Disney" approach to your wind problem. At Disney (and many others) they videotape complex actions that they need their animators to duplicate. If you have even a basic camcorder (or rent one) you could videotape leaves falling or throw some envelopes up in the air and tape them falling. Then xfer this to VCR. Watch the tape over and over until you feel you can duplicate the random nature instinctively. I am probably making this sound more involved than it really is. Still, you might be suprized (and hopefully so will your clients!).
