The article you are reading is about the Oceanic Naval Air Station and their
use of InfoChannel to inform the squadrons of current weather conditions. All
they had before simple CG displays. Not very sophisticated or interesting. We
did have some problems during the installation. It seems that the Naval Air
Station were using limited distance modems to send the information to the
InfoChannel Player from the HQ. Everything is working fine now. They studied
a wide number of systems with a specific criteria. InfoChannel won the
contract because of the flexibility of InfoChannel and the multimedia
capabilities of the Amiga computer. There were several other solutions
available on the Mac and PC side. However, they were not able to meet some of
the specifications, price, nor performance of our solution. Hope that answers
