HI rocky, i just purchased the BJ200 from service merchandise for 168.00. the next cheapest i found was circuit city for 187.00.. to answer your question i like the BJ200 much better the the hp500. download the canon driver software by wolf faust.. i forget whick lib i found it in, it gives outstanding output..it also includes a seperate program for graphic printing, but the drive by itself gives you all sorts of control the 2.1 driver doesnt even touch. i dont think you can go wrong with this combo at this price. -mark-
