It seems that the PIP on my 32XBR15 is crooked on the upper-right hand corner and maybe on the other corners too. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I'm not sure if it was crooked all along, but my set just came back today because there was something wrong with 2 IC (still don't know what they are for). Anyway, Sony was nice enough to pay for the parts even though all warranties ran out. 1: I'm looking for a new VHS VCR for personal use. I'd like good video 2: and sound, cable tuning, picture-in-picture, and those handy 3: "remember this channel" and "return to last saved channel" buttons on 4: the remote. Features like switching between several video/audio 5: sources would be great, too. I'm ready to spend $500 or more. Any 6: recommendations? I went to the local place, they said only TVs have 7: PIP these days. No VCRs, and of course they don't sell cable 8: converters. 9: 10: There's a gimzo in the Damark catalog. It's a cable converter box 11: that offers PIP as well as switching between three A/V inputs, only 12: $170. But I call, and it's not in stock. At first, salesdroid says 13: it's backordered until third week of November, do you still want to 14: order it. Yes. Whoops, now the computer says third week of 15: December, do you still want to order it. Uh huh. 16: 17: So I called a few cable converter companies. They've never heard of 18: "Roctec", the maker listed in the Damark catalog. They've heard 19: rumors of upcoming PIP cable boxes, but they've never seen one. So I 20: figure this Damark item is not yet in production, and they're just 21: taking orders. It sounds interesting enough to order one, still. 22: 23: I'm constantly disappointed with the configurations of consumer video 24: equipment… you can't buy a cable converter to save your life these 25: days, they want to sell you a VCR instead. And they don't offer PIP 26: except in the TV. And they don't switch between inputs. And they 27: don't have feature X on the VCR remote, but it's present on the TV 28: remote. 29: 30: You'd think they could jam a zillion features into one high-priced 31: VCR, and sell it to the gadgetheads by the truckload. I want it all, 32: and I want it in a little black box, and I want a remote for it, 33: too. Am I starting to sound like Denis Leary yet? 34: 35: /post Subject: VCR, PIP Advice
