The way the future of TV, Film and advertising is going, computers are becoming more a part and less a "cool thing". If I had gone to school (instead of sef-study) I would have worked on both computing and art or film. A combination of both is CRUCIAL for this new field. I too have a lot of computer experience, but don't have the piece of paper to prove it. My advise? Make yourself available to any small computer animation company. And learn 3D Studio. It may not be SoftImage, but the theories are basically the same. What little exeprience I have had on the bigger machines has only showed me that 3D Studio is as sophisticated (sp?) as the big boys…
