Gary is right, the EGS stuff is written entirely in Cluster! Perhaps
GVP will distribute Cluster in the states if there are enough
interested persons. Some interesting details I have forgotten to
say:
– Cluster is one of the first development systems with an integrated
Tetris!
– The integrated editor has the ability to "chroma code" the keywords, so
they are displayed bold. One line comments "|" are displayed in a
different color
– compiles 30000 lines/min on an A3000 (single pass)
– the release version of Cluster has no debugger, but a CLI tracer, which
is a simplier form of a debugger
System requirements:
OS 2.0, 1MB free memory, more recommended, two disk drives, HD recommended
The demo version:
You can compile and run the programs you write but there is no linker.
You get only some of the modules and a sample program (a start of a space
game) written entirely in Cluster. The sources are distributed with the
release version.
If I get the permission to upload the demo version (I think during
this week), should I ask the sysop first or can I upload it right
away? Should I put the demo files in one archive or is it better to
separate the demo into different parts (editor, samples, modules)?
