As I 3DS user I would suggest RayMan. There is no other raytracer for 3DS that
reads your complete scene/material information like RayMan does. You only have
to load your .3DS scene and all your information (smoothing groups, mapping
coords, multiple texture-, bump, opacity and reflection-maps, light settings,
camera-settings, atmosphere and background settings and so on…) will be
converted to RayMan. There is no other raytracer that supports phong and metal
material in the same way than 3DS does. And RayMan can render regions and
objects and because of the same view size (camera view) you can put the parts
together with your 3DS rendered image. And RayMan is fast with an great image
