Paul,
If you are going to have a makeshift drive, be sure that everything is grounded
properly, or you will continue to get shoeshining.
You might be happier running the tape drive externally off of a dedicated tape
controller card and leaving your floppy drives alone. Make sure you are
configuring your tape drive correctly and telling the software that you have an
AB-10 board installed. So many things to remember. <g>
