Dave, We use the GVR-S950 all day and all night it works great.! Having said that. To your question. >> I have 3DS Rel 2 and a cardinal snap plus video board and am having trouble. I am using the VTRSAN.EXP driver which shipped with the deck.<< You didn't mention where you purchased your Sanyo unit or why they weren't able to help you…however here goes. 1. I know nothing of the cardinal snap plus video board so I am assuming that it is a "Frame Buffer" card not some NTSC output board like the Magni VGA Producer Pro. If this is not the case. Call Me! 2.Does the Cardinal board have an SVHS video out and are you plugging this in to the Sanyo S-Video IN1 ? 3.How are you monitering the output of the Sanyo? Through the S-Video out or the Composite "Video Out" ? 4. Do you have the "SET VTPADI=C:\3DS2\DRIVERS\VTRSAN.EXP" statement in your Autoexec.bat file? And did you copy the VTRSAN.EXP file to the \3DS2\Drivers directory. Also be aware of the Type error on page 57 refering to 3D Studio there is a misspelling of the EXP driver…its VTRSAN.EXP not VCRSAN.EXP. 5. Have you changed the 3ds.set file so that the VTR-DEVICE= Diaquest now says VTR-DEVICE= "VTPADI" ? 6. Assuming you've stripped and blacked an SVHS tape… have you set the Control Switch to "Remote" ? See page ll of your GVR-S950 Instruction Manual item # 11. 7. Have you tried to "manually" control the VTR using SANCOMM? I hope this helps. If not you could call me at: (414)435-7345 or (414) 437-3898. And I'll see what we might be missing. James M. Murphy James Murphy Consulting Green Bay, Wisconsin U.S.A.
