It sounds like what you are seeing is about what I ran into as well. This
problem all started with the install of 2.04 and the addition of an HP
550C. After reading your post, it is probably my driver, which I have set
to "Screen Dump – Preferences". My preference driver is Super DJ2. Slash
VS gives me the familiar color on black that you mentioned. When I print
that's exactly what I get. Over the weekend I, hooked up my old Star
NX-2410 and ran SP using the SP Epson Driver and everything printed out
fine. It looks like my ability to print color graphs is about shot now.
The other thing I have tried is to go to preferences and reset my pallette
to something akin to WB 1.3. (Weird looking WB, everything looks selected
– select it and it becomes unselected). I was hoping that that would
change SP's background color. Alas, it was a no go.
My system setup if it will help.
A2000 (2.04)
2 HD's, GVP controller
HP 550C printer
Prefs driver Super DJ2, (Creative Focus – non-standard pref settings)
As far as the manuals, they don't mention this at all. They refer to Slash
VS to view settings, but not to any way of changing settings. Last item
for thought – I have tried using some of the other HP drivers in SP
(Thinkjet, paintjet, laserjet). I was hoping that since the 550C uses the
old command set from the laser series that it might work. Binary output
(definetly a foreign language, when run through a printer driver). Many
thanks for lending a hand, I'm still plugging away…
