Hi Martin, I`m using the Optibase product, well there were some problems getting the board working, now it works for ca. 3 months. My customers like the quality – thats the most important think. In fact I think you can see the difference to off-line encoding but who has the appropriate budget ? There is one think with which I'm not satisfied – sound. The S/N ratio seems not to be very good. E.g. for classical music it is not acceptable ( at least for me ). By the end of january there should be an upgrade of the Optibase board with component input for video ( Y, R-Y, B-Y ) and I hope also improved sound. Well, I hope this is useful for you, bye Martin
