Doug, Yes, I've run a render slave on the same machine as a foreground session. I've run a foreground vibrant, a background vesa, and a render slave, photoshop, anipro, and coreldraw, tapcis, and a couple of dos boxes all at once! This eats up my 32meg rather easily and bogs the machine down with swapping, but it was fun to try it just for laughs. I can hardly wait until OS/2 SMP comes out and I get a multiprocessor Pentium box. Talk about zero-slot networking! I am thrilled to see high profile people like you using OS/2. 3DS runs in the background under OS/2 mainly as a fluke. I hope Adesk makes background execution under OS/2 and NT a high priority for R4. Bailey
