Liquid Speed is not a driver. It optimizes the calculations that 3DS does to redraw geometry in the 3D editor and keyframer. This increases work speed by quite a lot. I find them indispensable, a real solution to a gripe I've had for a while: waiting for large meshes to redraw everytime I do something.
