Brian, thanks for your message- actually the model I was rendering was a simple
little flying logo with no maps, just a few materials and the Hilite IPAS which
turned out to have been theculprit. The rendering always crashes atexactly the
same frame, (234) with the same strange error message "Cheap stack dump etc…"
I will keep your suggestion of the QEMM parameters in mind however. Rudy
