Mike, What lens are you using? Some zoom lenses have "barrel distortion" at the shortest focal length (sides of a square bulge out) and "pincushion distortion" at the longest focal length (sides of a square curve in). If that's your problem, it should minimize at the centre of the zoom range. That's assuming you're digitizing from flat artwork. If you're trying to digitize images from a monitor, you'll get the effect you describe with any lens if the camera is too close to the screen. Vince
