OK; "INITIALIZATION" is not available (grayed out), when the cartridge is
inserted. MOUNT and VERIFY are. MOUNT results in an (unrealistically)
immediate return that the cartridge is mounted, and VERIFY gives an (equally
unrealistic) immediate return of 0 errors found on cartridge. DEVICE/DIAGNOSE
repeatedly returns "Unable to query drive for capacity. Sense key: 3H (Medium
failure)". When I perform a Device Status with the unformatted cartridge
inserted, I get "Not Available" for all the cartridge status indicators. The
firmware revision for the drive is 2.02, if that's worth anything.
Any other suggestions?
