Help!!! Since switching SCSI cards from the Adaptec 1510 (shipped with the CD 3 BlockBuster bundles) to the Always IN-2000 in July, I have been unable to access my Toshiba 3401E SCSI drive from either DOS or Windows. The drive just isn't there as far as the system is concerned. I've just recently gutted up and decided that I'd better tackle the problem and get things squared away — it's too much trouble to set up the notebook computer with the Trantor cable every time I need to get to a CD ROM. I've finally gotten my hands on a cable that works (both my Always utility and SCANSCSI recognize the CD ROM drive correctly without including a bunch of silly graphics characters in the name) but I still can't get the CD ROM drive to work. I am using the latest Always driver, ASPIDRVR.SYS, dated 8/18/93, and after that is loaded, the CorelSCSI install program recognizes it and the CD ROM drive and it is perfectly happy to complete the installation. However, I still can't access the drive. The relevant lines in my CONFIG.SYS are: device=c:\cdutil\aspidrvr.sys device=c:\coreldrv\cuni_asp.sys /e /id:1 /n:1 /d:mscd001 The relevant line in my AUTOEXEC.BAT is: mscdex /v /m:10 /e /d:mscd001 I have removed the reference to CORELDRV from my PATH statement, and the mscdex being used is the one from DOS 6.0. I'm using QEMM 6.02. The cuni_asp.sys file is dated 4/21/92. My CorelSCSI disk is labelled Ver 1.01C. I have downloaded several files from the library and don't find anything that addresses the problem I'm having. Is my problem that I am using an old version of CorelSCSI? If so, how do I upgrade and how much does it cost? If that's not my problem, what am I doing wrong? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks, liz
