Michael, see my reply to David Bartz, to find that I am saying the same things. True, what works for me doesn't necessarily work for the others, but there again I never sanctioned that everyone should use the Mac or Avid on the Mac to cut video. All I said was that I (underlined) would NOT accept to work on a PC, be it running Corel Draw or a souped-up version of Avid and the Mac OS. That's MY choice but obviously some PC aficionados get pissed off for such behaviour. There again, you yourself say "if you were to sit me in front of one [Mac] it would be less than " User Friendly ". Why this concept should work for you and not for me? Us MacUsers are very sensitive on the issue but also because in all these years people like Dean Oliver (on this forum) have put us in a ghetto because the Mac wasn't a serious computer, because it was slow, it didn't have much software, it cost too much money and it didn't run Lotus 1-2-3. Again, because it wasn't Ms-Dos compatible, it didn't belong to their world, didn't have a big anough share of the market. Yeah? We were not part of the majority, we were weird and we had to be kept at distance, just like a jew during WWII. We are refugees, Michael, we live on little islands like DTP & Graphics, because we are not mainstream. Then we get pushed out by some Mr. Bill Gates and his Windo-s. So we venture into new territories like Multimedia & DTV and we try to plant a few sticks around, only to have PC people chasing us again out. I just would like some Dos user say: oh I love my computer but wouldn't it be nice to have a Mac too for some fancy artwork? Instead, all they say is: when is Photoshop going to be ported? When is PageMaker going to be ported? Why hasn't Avid ported over to Windows yet? And especially, "about time too" as if anything good going round in the computer world can ONLY be on their platform, everything else is simply not to be taken seriously. These people deserve as many system errors as their computer can deliver, and as little good software as their I/O bus and SVGA monitors can handle. Alberto
