#ASPI & 16MB limit
Given the ISA bus-master / DMA limit of 16MBs, does CorelSCSI guarantee that
all data buffers are below 16MBs? If not, what is the remedy to data
corruption on systems with more than 16MBs of memory?
My scenario is an AHA1542, ASPI4DOS.SYS, & CorelSCSI 1.20, on a system with 32
MBs of memory. If I use 386Max, I get errors immediately due to the fact that
they allocate high memory before low memory. Qualitas' solution was to cut off
memory management at 16MBs. For all other memory managers, they allocate from
low memory to high. This won't cause any problems for a while, but eventually
problems may arise.
So, does Corel take any precautions against this?
