I'm not at all sure what devices your numbers represent but I think I can
solve your mystery if any of them were formatted using CFormat. CorelSCSI uses
1024 byte sectors, although it will recognize smaller ones. DOS only goes up to
512 byte sectors. CorelSCSI does this by running PATCH.EXE and patching your
system files to allow the larger sector size. Fine–but 6.2 overwrote your old
6.0 hidden system files and in the process erased the patch!
Try this: go to the directory with CorelSCSI in it, type PATCH, and choose
1024. Reboot, and see if this doesn't cure the problem. If it doesn't, you may
have devices with even larger sector sizes….
