#Advice Needed
I'm new to desktop editing and I'm shopping for a new computer that will allow
me to expand as my knowledge and interests do. I plan on starting out with an
all tape setup like the TAO Editizer 3.0 or Future Video's V – Station 3300.
I was looking at a desktop Packard Bell 60MHz Pentium w/ 8MB RAM, 420MB Hard
Drive. Two different salesman at different stores said that I should go with a
Parkard Bell 90MHz PentiumTower w/ either a 810MB Hard Drive or a 1GB Hard
Drive. Their reasoning was that the 90MHz would be faster and that I should
have a larger Hard Drive. And that the towers offered more serial ports and
bays for add-ons down the road.
I would like to get some input from you. What do you think are the most
important features when buying a computer ? Should I go with the tower and
spend the extra money even though it will strap me a bit ?? What do you think
of Packard Bell Computers???
