*** Multitasking and Amiga, Windows, and OS/2 *** I was always under the impression that the Amga has true multitasking and that Windows uses some sort of timesharing system, but it's not true multitasking. Then I heard something about OS/2 using multitasking. Anyway, I got into a discussion with some people and they said that OS/2 uses pre-emptive multitasking and Windows uses cooperative multitasking and that there wasn't that much of a difference between them. Could someone please educate me on this? What kind of multitasking does the Amiga employ and how is it different from what Windows and OS/2 uses? I thought the Amiga's custom chips and its design were what allowed it to have true multitasking; whereas the Windows' timesharing arrangement was a software kludge. I don't know much about OS/2. Could someone explain to me the differences in the way "multitasking" works on the Amiga, Windows, and OS/2? Thanks. Dom Fontana –> Sent from NY via AP <–
