John,
>Can video clips be transfered to image files for rotoscoping and such?
Both ways?
Yep, with image conversion from/to JPEG if you like. But if your going
to move a sequence to the PC or MAC (BTW you don't have to digitize full
screen. If you are goint to use the images in a quicktime presentation you
could reduce the size, up the quality, and still fit a ton of video on
your hard drive.) your better off just staying with JPEGS since they are
easily read and VLAB-M's straight JPEG inport/export is VERY fast (5
frames/sec).
WARNING: I just discovered that my Emplant's setup program changes memory
pointers in such a way that VLAB-M saw only 2megs as usable for the video
buffer. Commenting out the Emplant setup line in my startup-sequence
allows full access to all my memory. Now I'll see how high I can pump up
the JPEG quality without dropping frames!
