James, I've heard that Diamond does have drivers for the Viper. I do not know how well they work, though. I am using an NDI S3 805 board with the S3 drivers written by IBM. I am amazed at how well the drivers perform. They do a good job of sharing the S3 accelerator chip between the OS/2 desktop and a foreground 3DS session using the Vibrant S3 driver, and they allow background execution of 3DS when using the vesa driver. Since the Viper is a P9000-based product, and since the P9000, like the ATI Mach32 and unlike the S3 chips, is not an SVGA chip at all, but rather a completely different animal that must have a separate VGA controller (the P9100 has this vga controller and the P9000 accelerator logic all on the same chip, but they are still separate entities), you will probably have to run 3DS with the vanilla 640x480x16 VGA driver for background execution to work. You will still probably be able to use the Vibrant P9000 driver for foreground sessions. I've heard people say that Photostyler won't run under OS/2. It may be because it is trying to do the same sort of shinanigans that Photoshop does when it is run with Windows enhanced mode support enabled. I fixed Photoshop by running it with standard mode. Maybe there is something similar you can do for Photostyler. My gues is that Diamond will have at least a few people around the day after Turkey Day. Bailey
