I don't think that suggesting a 14.4 is such a great idea. 28.8 is quickly
becoming the standard and most active BBS's are already running such modems and
commercial services are quickly moving towards it. When buying a 28.8 modem,
make sure it is v.34 capable and not v.fc ONLY. If Sally wants to wait about
3-4 months, v.34 modems will soon be shipping with DSVD capabilities.
