I guess everybody's got their preferences, or the Summa III is a lousy tablet, because I use a a Kurta XGT and can't stand mice. Mice are inaccurate, uncomfortable, and have pitiful resolution. I don't understand how the comparison can be made, and what makes them faster than tablets. My Kurta has made me infinitely more productive. Try using Fractal Painter with a mouse, then a tablet with pressure sensetive pen, and see which is more productive, or faster. Or in AutoCad. I defy you to be anywhere near as productive with a mouse as with a Tablet and puck. Try digitizing some plans on paper with a mouse! Even in 3D Studio, when creating shapes in the 2D shaper, or manipulating single vertices for model refinement in the 3D Editor, mice are just too inaccurate compared to my XGT with pen even in mouse emulation mode. When I'm forced to use a mouse (other people's machines, etc…) it makes it painfully apparent what the real difference is. John Tissavary (La Luna cie)
