#Scala?
I have a question about SCALA. I previously worked in The Director 2.0 with
animations. Since I'm planning on upgrading to AGA, where The Director crumps,
I need to switch presentation programs (which is a major bummer since I
invested a ton of time in mastering The Director).
What I want to do is the following:
1. Play back animations at a speed of 15 fps or more with 16 or more colors.
2. Frame synchronize iff sounds to the animation. Preferably, I would like
to use the four different Amiga channels.
EXAMPLE: During the animation, I would like to trigger, on frame 28, an
iff sound of a character talking, on channel 1. On frame 47, I'd like to have
a phone ring on channel 2, while channel 1 has the character talking. On frame
53, on channel 3, I'd like to trigger another character coughing in the
background.
Such things were a snap to do in The Director 2.0. Can SCALA do this with
anim5 format files? How about anim7 format files?
3. I'd like to be able to string together a variety of anim files.
4. The goal is to then simply load up a presentation and dump it to tape.
With The Director 2.0, I could send 3 or more minutes of presentation from my
10 megs of RAM to SVHS before starting again (using careful memory management
techniques, of course).
IS SCALA FOR ME?
