#Hourly charge?
>>Here's the point: It doesn't matter what you say is the charge per
hour because so many hours never get billed. <<
We can all relate to that! I really do not want to know how many hours
I spend at this. Many times a project comes in and I must spend hours
learning a new procedure before I can even start. The learning curve
here is quite extensive at times.
You mentioned a client that you put on the clock everytime he called
or you turned on a machine for him. How do you keep track of this?
Must be tedious at best. An internal clock in 3DS to log hours
opened/accumulated on a project would be a handy feature, I believe
ACAD has this feature.
<< As far as hard goods involved, I always mark up video for
resale>>
I was refering to marking up a rendering/taping service such as yours.
I try to make my money from my own talents, and not marking up the
services of others. I suppose most people mark up everything that
goes through their hands, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Guess
I'll never make it in this business if I ever go full-time 🙂
P.S. Our client was blown away by our last job together! Nice work
Don.
