The land is completely flat for at least 25 miles in all directions, more than that in others. Our daily average windspeed is higher than the Windy City itself. People have died in cars in town during blizzards. I find the airport boring enough waiting for flights, I can't imagine spending a day or two there. No hotels near it either.
