I think I had the same problem as you a few months ago. It crackles then flashes a few times then after a few more goes of getting it on it stops working totally. If this is the problem all it is is your power switch. You need to get inside and have a look at the switch. Then get one of the similar type (checking voltages etc) and solder it in, not forgetting to take the old one out!! The first time it happened we sent it off to be repared and it cost 50 Pounds (about $70). The second time we repaired it our selves with a switch worth less than a couple of dollars!! —Richard Daniel
