#Character and Copyright
I have recently been approached by a client about a few intro spots
for his station. I wanted to know any stipulations and/or
considerations about using characters owned by other companies. This
client wishes to use comic book characters in his intro and I want to
know if the usage is to be legally cleared by him and the company, or
simply given copyright credit within the spots. Am I to be at fault
legally, or is that the concern of the contractee? I do not wish to
create any legal problems by any means and any advice would be much
appreciated. Thank you, in advance.
