SOMEONE at Intuit will recommend NOT automatically upgrading to windows. ME. That is not an across the board statement. SOME users may benefit GREATLY by upgrading to windows. Some may Not. The Windows version is not for everyone. Some people can not get comfortable with Windows no matter what. There are many other who simply do not wish to change. They are COMFORTABLE with the DOS Version. The reality of the situation is that there are physical limits in terms of QuickBooks operation in the DOS enviornment. That limits what the program can handle in terms of the amount of information or file size, speed and features. Windows is much more flexible in these areas. That's just an engineering reality. The REAL question is whether you prefer a vehicle that you are COMFORTABLE in, or whether you want one that does everything that you NEED it to do? You can only build so many options into a Volkswagen without over taxing the design and making it unstable. If QuickBooks for DOS is working for you, there is no real reason to change to windows. Just accept the fact that the factory CAN'T build a lot of new options into the product. I hope this helps just a little. Allen
