How about Pop Will Eat Itself? Actually, there was a band from LA called The Pop but they're possibly too obscure. How about the Pop Group, a seriously angry British punk band (These guys put out records like 'For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder')? Doubtful that you'd refer to an obscure NJ band, Pop-O-Pies, but they did have a humorous tune, 'The Catholics Are Attacking'. Alright, Brent, I give up who's the dude?
