How 'bout a function in the Display menu that allows you to select a certain
object or the current selection group to box the active user view around. That
way other visible objects would be irrelevent when trying to align a user view
to the object(s) to be worked on. It would also be much speedier than having
to hunt down a specific object in a large scene from a new view angle.
While I'm at it, I also think it would be useful to allow panning of a user
view perhaps by using Ctrl-arrows to pan by quarter screen and
Shift-Ctrl-arrows to pan by smaller increments.
By the way, will IPAS4 allow you to modify the angle of a viewport or only read
its status?
