I dislike it intensely, as I do most 4GLs. The problem is that it's
very easy for me to think up a problem that outside the domain
they're designed to solve. When that happens (and it usually happens
when I'm trying to learn the stupid things) they just break down
completely. For instance, I decided to do a simple little disk
cataloger with PB and SQL Server. The database end is a snap but PB
has no inherent way to read a directory off a diskette, i.e. no
generic DOS interface routines. <Sound of $2K worth of software
hitting the bottom of a metal trash can.>
