I noticed one minor optimization you can make. When you have a horizontal
edge, you do not need to store the Y values. This is because the Y value will
be included in the next edge.
1
a _________ b
| \
4 | \ 2
| \
|______________\
d 3 c
In this example, points a and d will be stored when you scan edge 4, and
points b and c will be stored when you scan edge 2. You do not have to
scan edges 1 and 3. So, when you find a horizontal edge, do not scan it.
