Bob, Welllll, almost one. It's really a very limited shell, at least the downloadable one. Perhaps the commercial version is more robust. I would say it was an example of a good first try which with some effort might become a pretty good shell. However, there are so very few needs for shells on the Mac. Anyway, for one who wants the benefits of a CLI, there are a few for the Mac. Apparently there is a commercial product out, but not a demo version to try, so I don't know what might be available that could be more robust. Were one to be more of a CLI user on a Mac, I would think that it would be nice, then, to see not only a good shell but even REXX. I've yet to use Applescript, which is supposedly like REXX (I don't know how good that comparison is), but REXX is less proprietary and more widely known. It also exists on a lot of platforms, now, which Applescript does not. Steve
