Pawel,
I'm as sure as I can be given the information available. There has been
more than one article published on the subject. Of course, there will be some
companies that will set up shop with only one platform and one application, but
that will only leave them limited. I am currently working on a demo that might
be used to pursuade a client into developing a game. The demo is for Offworld
Communications, right here in Portland, OR. They are one example of a company
that could care less what platform or application you use, as long as you can
animate things to their requirements and output your animation into the
required file format; ,tga, .gif, etc.
My own particule goal is to have my own animated series and a shop with at
least 1 PC, 1 Amiga, 1 Mac, and 1 SGI with a wide variety of applications. My
goal for the end of 1995 is to have five or more Pentium machines for mass
rendering. Being able to create is one thing, but the more stuff you can render
in the fastest time will bring in the revenue.
