of course unchecking a box does not "disable" the function. For example >>Hardness is adjusted from 0-255. So what do you expect Imagine to do if you uncheck the box? set the value to hard or soft? the same with color. OTOH on the reflection it would make sense to switch it off if it's unchecked. Imagine gives you so much controll on the surface parameters, I wouldn't want to miss a single slider! << I would expect the program to either go back to the default values (hardness, color, etc) or disable the function (transparancy, fog, refraction). After making something transparent or including fog or self illumination, I would like them to go away if I uncheck the boxes.
