I'm not sure about Visual Reality, but a great tool for that kind of work is
Adobe Premiere, either the Mac or Windows version. It loads .FLC, .AVI and
Quicktime files, and I believe it will load a sequential series of bitmapped
files as well (not sure what format, though.) You can have up to 99 channels
of video or animation that you can then overlay with effects. It's a fabulous
program.
