I tried doing a Fade In only of the second layer, and got the same result. The source flics absolutely do not have shifting brightness to begin with. The source flics have identical backgrounds. When fading it in over the top of the other, the background (and the rest) becomes slightly brighter toward the beginning and the end of the resulting animation. I tried doing the same thing in Animator Pro using FLIC -> COMPOSITE -> CROSS-FADE. Didn't get the brightness shift, but the whole thing looks too jittery because of the dithering that it's doing. Any way to switch off the dithering in that option? Any solution to the additive brightness problem when using Fade In in Video Post? Thanks in advance, – Jeff
