Jerry – The general way to print on the Amiga is through an application program, such as Final Copy II. Most programs on the Amiga print through the Preferences Printer, set with Preferences. You select the printer once and all programs use the same driver. If you want to test the printer without using a printing program, you can copy text files (like Startup-Sequence from the S: directory) to the printer port, PRT:, or the printers hardware port, PAR:. Either way, the text file should appear on the printer's output. BTW, be sure the printer preferences indicate that the printer is attached to the parallel port, not the serial port, which requires baud rate settings, etc. Hank Videology, Inc All the P.O.M.P. under all Circumstances
