Mark, The reason that the Amiga did so well over here (the UK) is that Nintendo wasn't available until relatively recently. By the time it was available hundreds of thousands of A500s had already been bought so there was already a good awareness of Amiga when the A1200 was introduced. My point is that except for a very small minority "Amiga" here means "games console", C=UK don't have the knowledge/intelligence/money to market the Amiga as a serious machine and will have to compete in the console market, which I don't think they will win. Not much hope for us serious users there. I'll give C= about 2-3 years. In the US it is obvious that CEI has never had a clue how to market the Amiga in the first place and my confidence in them has not increased. If the Amiga survives at all it will be in the US as a specialist machine for video. As I'm not into video it's not much use to me. Although I feel it is great system I just don't see any future for the Amiga. Within the next couple of days I shall be ordering 2 Pentium based machines. Greg
