For multimedia, a high-performance OS, like AmigaDOS and Amiga hardware architecture is ideal. A typical case would have the platform playing an animation, preloading an image or another animation, playing 16-bit audio, controlling peripherals (i.e. genlock, laserdisc, VCR, etc.) and syncing to another time code source. Our software and our users do it all the time. Try this, format 2 floppy disks, login with a term program and print a document from your wordprocessor. Right now, the PCs and Macs cannot do this.
